The Tabernacle Part 3, God’s Provision of Bread
1) What was the purpose of the Table of Showbread?
2) How did the bread remind the Israelites of what God had done for them?
3) How does 1 Chron 29:14 echo the symbol of the Bread of the Presence?
4) Fellowship with God was broken at the Fall. How does the showbread foreshadow a restoration of that fellowship?
5) The task of the priests in preparing, sharing and eating the bread parallels our ministry as believers. What similarities or differences do you see between their ministry and our responsibilities as a “royal priesthood”?
6) What else could the Israelites learn about God from this symbol?
7) What can we learn about God from this symbol and its fulfilment?
